A MORAY pensioner found seriously injured in his home earlier this week had been attacked, police said yesterday.

The 67-year-old, named locally as Jim Robson, was found in his council flat in Blantyre Terrace, Buckie, on Tuesday night.

He has been in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary since then – and his condition is described as serious but stable.

The circumstances of the incident are still unclear but Detective Inspector Stewart Mackie, who is leading the investigation, said it appeared Mr Robson had been assaulted.
