Golf to fore as Salmond reveals tax-break plan

DONALD Trump revealed last night that 7,000 people are queuing up to play at his new golf course – as plans were unveiled to lure the game’s top stars to Scotland by giving them tax breaks.

The New York-based businessman’s team was celebrating the successful public launch of his Aberdeenshire resort.

And First Minister Alex Salmond was outlining his vision to tempt the sport’s biggest names to compete in prestigious tournaments.

Scores of players made their way to Mr Trump’s links course at Menie near Balmedie yesterday.
