Air passenger numbers up
Passenger numbers at airports run by Highlands and Islands Airports (Hial) continued to rise during June but poor weather caused a slowdown, the operator said yesterday.
Hial said its 11 airports were used by 121,171 people last month, an increase of 0.7% on June 2011.
The growth was not as strong as in previous months, which Hial said was because of weather-related disruption. The network was hit by flight cancellations due to heavy fog.
