Climber dad dies after taking ill on rock face
A CLIMBER died doing the sport he loved after he was suddenly taken ill on one of his favourite peaks.
Dad-of-two Steve Jones was about two hours into an ascent in the remote Kintra area of his home island of Mull when he became unwell. Last night the 39-year-old’s family paid tribute to him, and said they were waiting to find out what caused his death.
Mr Jones is survived by his wife Yeshi, and their two children, an eight-year-old son Jigme and a two-year-old daughter Palmo.
