Boy, 16, in court over huge haul of cannabis in cottage

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has appeared in court charged with running a major cannabis farm and stealing electricity after police swooped on a north property.

He was arrested after officers recovered more than 200 plants with a potential street value of £200,000 during the raid.

A police presence remained at the cottage – which is just yards from a busy trunk road – yesterday, 48 hours after drug squad officers stormed in.
