Motorcyclist hurt near Stonehaven as biker killed in Garioch named

A motorcyclist who was killed this week when his bike left an Aberdeenshire road has been named by police.

Colin Wilson, 47, a father of two from the Stockethill area of Aberdeen, died in Tuesday afternoon’s accident, on the A920 Dufftown to Ellon road, near Drum of Wartle.

Another biker was being treated in hospital yesterday after a serious collision involving an articulated lorry on the B979 Stonehaven to Maryculter road, near Stonehaven.
