Downton cast go on special assignment

The Christmas special of costume drama Downton Abbey is being filmed at Inveraray Castle in Argyll this week.

Members of the cast and crew of the hit ITV1 series have been staying at the royal burgh’s plush Loch Fyne Hotel and making use of local shops.

But many are keeping hush-hush about the fact that stars including Hugh Bonneville and Maggie Smith are in town.
