Pair jailed for trying to peddle drug misery

TWO young men who tried to flood Moray with £60,000 worth of drugs were last night condemned for attempting to make money from the misery of others.

Louis Butler and Lawrence Mitchell were yesterday sent to jail for a total of eight years for dealing in heroin and cannabis.

And last night a senior Moray police officer said they deserved the punishment for trying to profit from the misery of others.

The drugs were seized in a joint operation between Grampian Police and Northern Constabulary on March 22 this year.
