Thousands give ‘phenomenal start’ to Trump links

Donald Trump’s north-east golf course has attracted more than 8,000 bookings from 20 countries, it emerged last night.
People from as far away as Australia, Argentina and Japan have travelled to the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire since the businessman launched his championship links last month.
Last night, resort boss Sarah Malone said the venue has had a “phenomenal” opening month – with reservations topping £1million in a matter of weeks.
And Scottish tourism chiefs have hailed the impact the resort has had in cementing Scotland’s status at the home of golf.
