Two injured as veteran biplane piles into trees

TWO people were taken to hospital last night after a veteran aircraft crashed into trees near a private airstrip in Moray.

It happened around 7.45pm when one of the last remaining Tiger Moth biplanes came down close to Shempston Estate, which is beside RAF Lossiemouth.

Three fire appliances, five police cars and an ambulance were on the scene within minutes of the emergency call being made.
