A COUPLE who found romance in the Highlands have scooped Britain’s second-biggest lottery jackpot.
Adrian Bayford – who met wife Gillian in the north – said he had joked with her that he had not bought any EuroMillions tickets.
Mrs Bayford, who was born at Kirkcaldy, brought up at Carnoustie in Angus and moved to Inverness 10 years ago – when she fell for Adrian – was putting their children to bed when her husband tried to tell her about the £148.6million win.
