SFA letter fuels furious row over stadium plan

THE Scottish Football Association and Aberdeen City Council’s Labour group were embroiled in a furious row last night over stadium plans for the Dons and Cove Rangers.

In a letter to finance convener Willie Young, SFA chief executive Stewart Regan backed plans for the two clubs to work together on a development at Calder Park.

The exchange was described as embarrassing for the Labour councillor, who has said the new local authority administration is ready to ditch the Cove scheme at a meeting on Wednesday.
