We will keep investing, says whisky boss

One of the world’s biggest drinks producers has said that Scottish independence would make “no difference” to its investment decisions.

Diageo chief executive Paul Walsh made the remarks yesterday after the group reported a rise in profits last year.

The company owns many famous north and north-east-based single malt brands – such as Talisker, Singleton, Royal Lochnagar, Oban, Lagavulin, Glen Elgin and Dalwhinnie – as well as the best-selling blends Johnnie Walker, J&B and Bell’s.
