Fraserburgh seal cup win after penalties

Fraserburgh rallied from two down to win the Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup after a penalty shootout against Formartine at Victoria Park in Buckie.

The wind spoiled the game, but there was one moment of brilliance, Graham Johnston’s wonderful 85th minute equaliser for Fraserburgh to take the game into extra time.

Michael Ewen’s double had given Formartine a 2-0 lead, but within two minutes of coming off the bench Broch substitute Zac Conway gave his side a lifeline with a simple back-post tap-in.
