Help us slash £30m from council budget

THE public are being enlisted to help Moray Council in its attempt to slash millions from its budget.

Looking to chop £30million, the council has launched the biggest consultation in its history. Convener Stewart Cree has insisted the priorities of the people of Moray would shape any cuts or changes to services over the next four years.

He said: “There are tough decisions to be made that will impact on us all, and we need to know what priorities and services the public feels are sacrosanct and what ones they think can tolerate changes.”
