Mechanics back on song for Gers game

Forres Mechanics enjoyed perfect preparations for this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie against Rangers when they breezed past Strathspey, scoring six goals in the process.

Forres were two goals ahead at the break, the Jags pulled one back early in the second period but their chance of producing an upset was blown away by a controversial decision from referee Martin Kerrigan to show visiting defender Terry Swinton a red card for deliberate hand ball in the box as he tried to block a Martin McMullan effort on goal.
