‘Appalling’ treatment of travellers attacked
THE treatment of travellers in Moray came under the spotlight last night after councils across Scotland were accused of “appalling” discrimination.
A damning report compiled by an influential committee of MSPs said they were “horrified” at the hurdles travellers face in trying to gain access to council services and medical care.
The report said that, despite efforts from successive governments, there had been “no real change” to improve the lives of gypsy travellers in 15 years.
