Rival claims new Dobbies would cause traffic chaos

An Inverness garden centre claims that plans by a rival to open a branch in the city would lead to increasing levels of traffic in an already congested area.

Simpsons Garden Centre claims that Dobbies have underestimated the amount of traffic that will be generated by their proposals to open in Inshes.

The company’s plans will see it opening a large new store in the former Focus DIY store. The new store, adjoining Tesco’s supermarket, would be about 1.5 miles from Simpsons Garden Centre, which is on the main Culloden Road.
