Boy says final farewell to man who saved life

A HIGHLAND teenager has said an emotional farewell to the man who saved his life 12 years ago today.

David Riley and his Border collie Rosie found three-year-old Cameron Munro sheltering under an uprooted tree in a forest.

The youngster had been missing overnight – and his parents are convinced he is alive today thanks to retired policeman and Search and Rescue Dog Association member Mr Riley.

The 73-year-old died at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after a short illness.
