Bale hits Scots with a double blow in Cardiff

It was World Cup misery for Scotland in Cardiff last night as Chris Coleman earned his first win as Wales manager.

A late double from Gareth Bale secured all three points in the World Cup qualifier.

The Scots – also searching for their first victory in Group A – had taken the lead through James Morrison in the first half.

But star man Bale had the final say in the tie when he won and converted a second half penalty, before grabbing a stunning long-range winner with a minute to go.
