Robbie shines on his Italian mission

Banchory’s Robbie Simpson led the Great Britain representative team to fourth position from 133 teams in the 55th Trofeo Vanoni international mountain running relay race at Morbegno, Lombardy yesterday.

Simpson was the quickest of the British trio with a time of 30min 4sec. Murray Strain (Hunters Bog Trotters) recorded 31:24 and England’s Rob Hope clocked 31:01 giving the Britons a combined time of 1:32:29.
