Lorry driver ‘thought he had killed someone’

A lorry driver accused of causing a woman’s death in a horror road crash phoned home to say he thought he had killed someone, a court heard yesterday.

Bettina Adams, from Peterhead, died when her Vauxhall Astra went under an articulated lorry at the Harehill junction on the A90 Aberdeen-Ellon road.

Aberdeenshire man Adam Morrison went on trial yesterday and denied causing her death by careless driving.
