Scot Ramsay soothes China crisis
Richie Ramsay finally managed to shake off his China blues yesterday before an afternoon thunderstorm caused chaos during the first round of the Singapore Open.
The Aberdonian had become depressed about his game after playing two big events in China and finishing a lowly 63rd in the BMW Masters and then 65th at last week’s HSBC Champions.
But he bounced back yesterday with a one-under 70 as only 21 of the 78 morning starters who completed their rounds managed to break par before play was suspended.
