Ramsay smiling after his last-hole flourish

Richie Ramsay was delighted his memory served him well as he finished with a birdie for a five- under-par 67 at the Dubai World Tour championship yesterday.

The Aberdonian is two shots behind the lead set by Luke Donald at Jumeirah Golf Estates, with Marc Warren leading the Scottish challenge at six under. But it was his finish at the 620yd last hole which put the biggest smile on the Press and Journal columnist’s face.
