Bakery boss sets sights on doubling turnover
A small Western Isles bakery wants to double its turnover within two years after investing around £2million in a new factory.
Mull-based Island Bakery Organics said it also wanted to triple production at its new place and turn out 500,000 biscuits a week by the end of 2014.
The Tobermory firm, which was set up by Joe Reade in 1996, has recruited four people since moving into the new bakery, taking its workforce to 13.
