Transport groups seek EC help in protecting air links

Transport groups campaigning to safeguard the north of Scotland’s air connections with the rest of the world have raised their concerns with the European Union.

The directors of Nestrans and Hitrans went to Brussels to ask the European Commission to protect the current Heathrow landing slots held by Aberdeen Airport.

They also want to allow for the future provision of slots for flights coming from Inverness.
