Auckland’s Celtic run

European cross-country championships gold-medal winner Rhona Auckland, 19, will be back in international action early in the new year.

The Banchory Stonehaven AC runner excelled on her Great Britain debut in Budapest earlier this month when she helped her side win team gold in the under-20 women’s age group.

Now Auckland has been selected to represent Scotland in the Celtic nations cross-country meeting in Cardiff on January 20.
