The sun comes out to play, but not for long
Aberdeen was the hottest place in the country when the sun returned to the north and north-east after weeks of cold and wet weather.
Temperatures reached 13.3C at Aberdeen Airport yesterday, hotter than Madrid, and are expected to remain in the low teens throughout the weekend.
Cloud-cover prevented the mercury soaring any higher but temperatures across the region remained well-above average for the time of year.
