Family’s fury as NHS bosses blunder again

HEALTH chiefs being sued by the family of a pensioner who was left waiting 13 hours for a brain scan have blundered again – by referring to her as dead.
Agnes Steele’s relatives have been left furious by the NHS Highland gaffe, which was branded “unforgivable” last night. The board has already been ordered to apologise to her relatives after the ombudsman ruled the standard of care the 75-year-old had received at the north’s flagship hospital was substandard.
Her family are now taking legal action against the health board and wrote to managers asking for a copy of their relative’s medical notes.
