Dream debut has Thomson on cloud nine

An Aberdeen teenager has become a Scottish rowing champion just six months after taking up the sport.

Eilidh Thomson, a pupil at Aberdeen Grammar School, won the women's under-16 event at the Scottish indoor championships at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
