Offshore helicopters diverted

Inverness Airport was buzzing with helicopters yesterday morning after flights were diverted from snow-hit Aberdeen Airport.

Helicopters carrying oil and gas workers home from various rigs in the North Sea were re-routed to the Highlands when the north-east airport closed at 9.15am.

A Flybe flight from Manchester to Aberdeen was also diverted to Inverness.
