Leave the rankings alone Barry

Graeme Dott is waiting for the full extent of Barry Hearn’s proposed snooker shake-up to be revealed – but the Larkhall potter wants the current rankings structure to be left untouched.

From June all 128 professionals will have to start in round one in eight major tournaments, as opposed to the leading 16 ranked players automatically qualifying for the last 32, part of a raft of changes in the sport introduced by Hearn, the chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.
