Storm-lashed ferry in U-turn

The Stornoway ferry was forced to abort her voyage across the Minch in the teeth of hurricane-force winds last night.

The MV Hebrides turned back for Ullapool after coming directly in the firing line of a violent storm racing up the Minch.

Her skipper made the decision not to let passengers suffer a painful trip in horrendous conditions.
