Police hunt mugger who stole thousands of pounds

Police were last night hunting a mugger who attacked a man on a quiet city suburb street before stealing thousands of pounds from his victim.

The 50-year-old was walking along Loirston Road at Cove shortly before 11am yesterday when he was thrown to the ground by a young hooded man.

The assailant then took what police are describing as a “mid four-figure sum” from his victim before running off in the direction of Loirston Avenue.
