Council in map error ‘farce’ over shake-up of schools

PLANS for the biggest education shake-up in Aberdeen for years were plunged into confusion last night as officials admitted blundering over a schools re-zoning map.

Residential streets around the north-east’s biggest hospital complex were wrongly included in a proposed new catchment area for Cornhill Primary.

The gaffe left opposition councillors claiming the process had already descended into “farce”.
