Police hunt after laser targeted at two planes

POLICE were hunting the person who shone a laser pen into the cockpits of two passenger aircraft last night, endangering the lives of more than 100 people.

The BMI and KLM planes were on their approach to Aberdeen International Airport when the incident happened.

A spokesman for one of the airlines involved condemned the action, saying: “It beggars belief that someone could be so stupid to endanger lives by such actions.”
