I’m ashamed but I didn’t rape two children - man, 86

A PENSIONER accused of raping and sexually abusing children more than 40 years ago admitted yesterday he was ashamed of his behaviour.

William Watson told a court he had touched two children inappropriately in the 1960s and 1970s.

But, giving evidence, the 86-year-old said allegations that he had done anything more or raped the youngsters were “lies”.
