Danger alert as police hunt sex offender for 12 hours

A CONVICTED sex offender who was hunted by police for almost 12 hours yesterday after vanishing from a hospital was back in a psychiatric unit last night.

Northern Constabulary had warned the public not to approach Scott Murray, who disappeared from New Craigs Hospital in Inverness.

Officers had described the 27-year-old as “a high-risk missing person”.
