Commuters see red in city traffic light chaos

TRAFFIC lights installed to cut jams on the Kessock Bridge caused rush-hour car chaos in Inverness yesterday.

The lights, at Rose Street roundabout, Henderson Drive and on the Longman roundabout, caused huge tailbacks during the morning peak period.

Motorists branded yesterday’s snarl-ups a “shambles” and fears have been raised that things will be even worse when major roadworks start on the bridge on Monday.
