Festival cocaine-boast teacher ‘unfit for job’

A HIGHLAND teacher has been struck off for allowing a schoolgirl to visit him at home and boasting he took cocaine at the RockNess music festival in front of two pupils.

Culloden Academy drama teacher Ian McMillan also told colleagues he was with pupils in pubs and clubs in Inverness, despite being advised not to speak to youngsters outside work.

The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) said that being a “relatively young and inexperienced teacher” did not excuse McMillan’s behaviour.
