Hospitals and schools in horse meat probe

HEALTH boards and councils were trying last night to establish whether horse meat has been used in hospital meals or school dinners in the north and north-east.
Local authorities in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire confirmed they were investigating producers and suppliers after days of shocking revelations about the meat industry.
NHS Scotland was also probing the “processes and procedures” of the companies which provide its meat.
