Adams urges Ross County to kick out reconstruction

Ross County manager Derek Adams will urge chairman Roy MacGregor to oppose new reconstruction plans for Scottish football at next month’s Hampden meeting after labelling the proposals as ridiculous.

Adams is firmly against the new 12-12-18 proposals, with the top two leagues splitting into eight after 22 matches, as he believes it will produce a raft of meaningless games.

He said: “It is a ridiculous idea from the point of view you scrap your points.
