Ross urges supporters to get right behind Butcher

Terry Butcher rejected a lucrative offer from Barnsley to stay as Inverness manager – now the Caley Thistle support must show its loyalty to him, reckons midfielder Nick Ross.

A total of 2,529 supporters, Caley Jags’ lowest home crowd of the season, attended the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Wednesday, much to Butcher’s irritation.

The former England captain openly questioned whether the Highland capital deserves a club that is second in the table and striving for Europe after such a low turnout.
