Teen, 17, held after hostel blaze

Three days of intensive investigation into one of the biggest building fires in the Highlands has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old youth.

The teenager is expected to appear in court charged in connection with the blaze at a homeless hostel which caused the evacuation of the residents and five neighbouring properties.

No one was hurt in the fire that ripped through the former Royal Hotel on the corner of High Street and Hill Street at Dingwall in the early hours of Monday.
