Tartan-clad Dutch ace Barney delights crowd
Raymond van Barneveld's love affair with Aberdeen continued as he eased to a scintillating 7-2 victory against Wes Newton last night.
The 2012 Grand Slam of Darts champion hit four maximums and had two checkouts of 116 and another of 117 as he completely outclassed the Warrior, competing in the Premier League for the first time.
The Dutch ace, who recorded a sensational nine-darter against Terry Jenkins in Aberdeen in 2010, donned a blue top with a tartan trim in tribute to his Scottish supporters and never gave the 2012 European championship finalist a look-in with a match average of more than 100.
