Mum killed after rally car careers into crowd

A RALLY fan who died after being hit by a car during the north’s top motorsports event was a mother-of-four who raised funds for her local lifeboat.

Joy Robson was struck by a Honda Civic which went out of control and careered off a forest track during the opening stage of the Snowman Rally event on Saturday.

She and an eight-year-old boy were left trapped underneath the vehicle and other spectators had to lift it off them.
