Children rescued from loch after dinghy plunge drama

A five-year-old boy was treated for hypothermia after being rescued from a Highland loch at the weekend.

The youngster, a seven-year-old girl and a 41-year-old man were thrown overboard when their small sailing dinghy capsized on Loch Torridon in Wester Ross.

The children were wearing lifejackets, but the man was not, prompting the coastguard to issue a warning to all recreational sailors.
