Children learn of teacher’s death in Highland rally crash

Children at a Skye primary school were yesterday given the tragic news of the death of their nursery teacher during a Highland rally.

Joy Robson died after she was struck by a Honda Civic which went out of control and left the track during the first stage of the Snowman Rally on Saturday.

Ms Robson, 50, was watching the race at a hairpin bend in Lochletter Woods, Balnain, near Loch Ness.
