McManus sets his sights on making mark with top team

Aberdeen youngster Declan McManus hopes he is the next of the talented crop of youngsters to be given a chance in the top team.

The 18-year-old netted four times as a clinical Aberdeen under-20 side eased to a 6-0 victory against Dundee at Peterhead’s Balmoor Stadium yesterday.

Dons manager Craig Brown and his assistant Archie Knox were both in the stand to watch Neil Cooper’s team and McManus hopes he has given them food for thought.
