Rhona hoping she can be in the running

Rhona Auckland (Banchory Stonehaven AC) hopes to have recovered from injury to launch a bid for the Scottish women’s under-20 cross-country title at Falkirk on Saturday.

The Edinburgh University student has not competed since picking up a team gold medal when making her Great Britain debut in last December’s European cross-country championships in Hungary.

Auckland twisted her knee when carrying a suitcase just before Christmas which means she has missed a significant amount of training.
